Teen Dating Violence Prevention Program

Safe Dates and Families for Safe Dates Programs


Striving to increase young people's capacity to establish, develop, and maintain healthy relationship, while also decreasing the number of youth experiencing dating violence. This program strives to:

  • Raise students’ awareness of what constitutes healthy and abusive dating relationships ​

  • Raise students’ awareness of dating abuse and its causes and consequences

  • Equip students with the skills and resources to help themselves or friends in abusive dating relationship

  • Equip students with the skills to develop healthy dating relationships, including positive communication, anger management, and conflict resolution​


The Safe Dates and Family for Safe Dates curriculum is a ten-session program that deals with attitudes and behaviors associated with dating abuse and violence. Each session can be completed in about fifty minutes. The curriculum can be presented over a period of days or weeks, depending on your program’s schedule​.
