What a blessing to have support of Staff, Donors & Volunteers stepping up to HELP our victims & survivors during this time! Between shelter renovations, outreach & toy giveaways, advocacy, therapy, hugs and LOTS of efforts made in many different directions we are thankful & I am honored to be a small part of it!!

Mission Statement

Option House, provides 24-hour crisis intervention shelter, transitional housing, outreach services, legal services, information, education, and awareness to family violence victims to STOP the Cycle of Abuse.

Statement of Purpose

This organization is focused on promoting the Health, Safety, Rights to the victims of family violence, and to promote the education of the community by:

Providing 24-hour emergency crisis intervention, temporary emergency shelter, food, clothing and support services to victims of family violence.

Providing transitional housing to promote an independent and productive lifestyle to victims of domestic violence and their children.

Providing community awareness to the prevalent incidents of family violence through education and training programs.

"EVERY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIM SHOULD HAVE ACCESS TO THE LIFESAVING SERVICES OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTERS, SERVICES, AND PROGRAM. TURNING AWAY SURVIVORS AND THEIR CHILDREN CAN MEAN SENDING THEM BACK INTO VIOLENT AND DANGEROUS SITUATIONS, FORCING THEM TO CONFRONT THE CHALLENGES OF HOMELESSNESS OR PREVENTING THEM FROM GAINING ACCESS TO LEGAL OR MEDICAL RESOURCES. IT IS DEVASTATING TO SEE SHELTERS NATIONWIDE SAYING "NO" BECAUSE THEY SIMPLY LACK THE RESOURCES."
