Welcome to the Option House 40-Hour Domestic Violence Advocacy Training.
We are honored to have you participate in this training experience. This course is designed to provide foundational knowledge, advocacy skills, and survivor-centered practices to support individuals impacted by domestic violence.
This training is fully online and self-paced, allowing participants to complete modules on their own schedule during the training period.

Training Format Online & Self-Paced
All modules and reflection activities must be completed by August 28, 2026 in order to receive a certificate of completion.
The training is divided into individual learning modules. Each module includes:
Educational video content
Guided learning materials
A required reflection activity/form
Participants are expected to complete each module in order.
Please follow the steps below for each section of the training:
Read the overview and learning objectives for the section.
Watch the assigned training video in full.
After watching the video, complete the required reflection activity linked at the bottom of the module page.
Continue through the training modules until all sections are completed.
Reflection forms are required for every training module.
These forms help:
Document participation
Support understanding of the training material
Track completion progress
Certificates cannot be issued until all reflection forms have been submitted.
Participants who successfully:
Complete all modules
Submit all required reflection forms
Finish the training by August 28, 2026
will receive a Certificate of Completion from Option House.
Certificates will be sent electronically after completion has been verified.
Participants are expected to:
Engage respectfully with all training content
Complete all assignments independently
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Manage their own progress and pacing during the training period
Because this training discusses topics related to violence, trauma, and survivor experiences, some content may be emotionally difficult. Participants are encouraged to practice self-care and take breaks as needed.
